General information
The Hymes family has
been a part of the Assemblies of God, U.S.A. World Missions organization
for about 20 years. We have served for about 12 years in Japan and now we
are teaching and working at Asia Pacific Theological Seminary (APTS) in
Baguio City, Philippines.
Upcoming Ministries
Beyond the regular ministries of teaching and other school related activities at APTS, preaching at some of the local churches here in Baguio City, Philippines, Anna and I will be traveling to Singapore in September for the Asia Pacific Theological Association (APTA) General Assembly. David has two presentations: A Response to a paper on Academic Freedom in Pentecostal theological education; and A Guideline to Online Courses.
In November, David will be leading an academic accreditation visiting team to Malang, Indonesia for APTA.
In January, David will
be teaching a block course at CBC, Tokyo.
The Hymes Family
The Hymes family has
been separated by land and sea. Laura is back in Japan teaching English
to children. Elsbeth is working on her M.A. in classics at Otago University,
New Zealand. We keep in contact by gtalk and Skype. We can't wait till Christmas
when we can all get together again.
Prayer Requests
The General Council of the Assemblies of God in Japan has requested that we return to Japan to minister at CBC, Tokyo. Please pray for us as we seek God's leading. We are interested in not only teaching, but planting a church in the heart of Tokyo.
